No memberships we do not hold, no awards we have not won, and no total of moves completed invented for a homepage.
Why the document
Because within a few streets of each other this postcode holds a room let on a licence, a four-person flatshare on one joint tenancy, a couple on a sole tenancy, a leaseholder in a mansion block and a family selling a freehold house.
They own similar furniture and they are doing entirely different things. One needs a quiet hour and a clear hallway. One needs the paperwork settled before anybody books a van. One is judged on an empty room by a clerk. One needs a managing agent’s permission. And one is waiting on a chain nobody controls.
Roehampton is not Putney
Half a mile apart and a completely different set of constraints. The Alton estates are one of the most significant postwar housing landscapes in the country — tower and slab blocks, estate roads, lift bookings and block access, where the terraces off the Lower Richmond Road are residents’ parking and communal staircases.
A firm that treats SW15 as one place will plan one of them badly. We survey the building type before the furniture.
What we will not do
Adjudicate. The commonest question we are asked in a flatshare is who owns the sofa, and it is almost never written down anywhere. We move what you tell us is yours; where somebody else in the house disagrees, the item stays until you have settled it between you.
That is not obstruction — it is the only position that is fair to everybody, including to us. The same applies to fixtures on a sale and to a landlord’s furniture in a let: where there is doubt, it stays and we ask.
And what we are not

How we quote
We survey, then we write a figure down. A phone call cannot see a stair turn, a lift door opening, the gradient of Putney Hill or a residents’ bay, and a figure given without those is a figure that gets revised.
There are no prices on this site and no transit times on the country pages. Both would be guesses presented as information.
